Holi may be far away but it seems Kanpurites have already started celebrating the festival of colours. It was the heroic return of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman from Pakistan that also motivated the members of a ladies club to celebrate Holi in advance. Organised at a lawn in the city, the members came dressed in colourful traditional attire. Kanchan, Shivika and Chandani played an important role in organising the pre-Holi party and were seen welcoming the members.(L) Ananmika and Nandini (R) Charu and Anita (BCCL/ IB Singh)The venue was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons, Holi Hai cut-outs, flowers and colourful curtains. Monica, Tanvi, Neelam and Akansha enjoyed playing dry Holi with each other.(L) Heya, Poonam and Kajal (R) Kanchan (BCCL/ IB Singh)The do was also high on naach-gaana and the members were seen shaking a leg on songs like 'Balam Pichkari','Kala Chashma' and 'Mere Angne Main'. Chandani and Shivika’s dance performance was appreciated by all.
