Kanpur: IIT Kanpurs staff team, IIT-Kanpur A, emerged as the winners in the 2023 Kanpur Office League Volleyball tournament organized by the Staff Gymkhana at IIT-Kanpur. The team secured victory by defeating the DMSRDE (Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment) team in two straight sets. The fellowship supports scientists in furthering their research.Kanpur Superstars outplay Gorakhpur Lions by 37 runsKanpur Superstars defeated Gorakhpur Lions by 37 runs in their last league match of the T-20 League. The win did not impact the semifinal slots as Kashi Rudras had already secured the fourth spot. Kanpur scored 212 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, with Sameer Rizvi contributing a century. Gorakhpur could only manage 175 runs in response. Siddharth Sarvan Yadav and Abhishek Goswami were the top scorers for Gorakhpur. Sameer Rizvi was named the Man of the Match.
