‘Make Vision Kanpur draft in sync with 2031 Master Plan’

Kanpur: Divisional commissioner Amit Gupta at the meeting held here on Tuesday with the consultant team working on the city development plan said that the draft of Vision Kanpur2047 should be prepared keeping in mind the Master Plan of 2031.The commissioner said to realize the vision of what Kanpur will look like after 25 years in 2047, discussions will be held with representatives of various fields like medicine, education, tourism, art and culture, entrepreneurship, agriculture etc. A draft of the vision of Kanpur2047 is being prepared after taking ideas, suggestions and feedback. Now, it will be studied and given final form, he added. The consultant team gave a presentation of its work at the divisional commissioners auditorium.Care should be taken to improve public transport in the city, ensure smooth traffic and reduce traffic congestion. A plan on how major roads of the city could be widened should be prepared and included, he said. The commissioner directed the officials concerned to prepare the project considering all the suggestions made in the Vision Plan.
