Kanpur: Adarsh Singhs fine knock of 136 runs and Mayanks five wicket haul helped KDMA beat host Kanpur South Club by 57 runs in the final and won the A division KDMA league championship on Saturday.KDMA, batting first, scored a sound total of 4 for 323 in 40 overs. Besides Adarsh Singh, Sumit Rathore and Satnam Singh also contributed 78 and 33 runs respectively. Ashish Kumar Yadav picked two wickets. Kanpur South in reply collected 9 for 266 runs in 40 overs. Ayush Pathak (63), Sagar Sharma (54) and Raunak Singh (41) were the main scorers. Mayank Singh of KDMA claimed 5 wickets for 32 runs.Earlier, Anoop Jain, life member inaugurated the final tie in presence of KDA officials.Swimming: JMD World School Mainawati Marg and the District Swimming Association will jointly organize a one-day aquatic meet at the school premises on October 14. According to Malaika Arora, principal of the school, the meet will be held in the under 6, 8, 10 and 12 years age group in boys and girls category. Swimmers of CBSE, ICSE and UP Board will participate in the meet. The last date for entries is October 7. Rovers club posted a score of 237 for 8, with Faiz Ahmad as the main scorer. In response, Olympic club collapsed on 127 runs. In another match, YMCC outplayed Veenus club by 6 wickets. Veenus club scored 100 runs, while YMCC reached the target of 101 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
