PM Awas Yojana beneficiaries receive keys of houses

Kanpur: Beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana and PM Swanidhi scheme got the keys of their houses and cheques of financial help in a function Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Maharishi Valmiki park in presence of MP, MLA, mayor and officials on Monday.MPs Satya Deo Pachouri and Devendra Singh Bhole, mayor Pramila Pandey, Saroj Kureel, Neelima Katiyar, joint secretary environment forest and climate change Satyajit Mishra, chief development officer Sudhir Kumar and other officials were present in the fucntion.The officials gave information about governments various schemes and handed over the keys of PM Awas (urban) to beneficiaries Anita, Sonu Rajput, Ankita Sonkar and Vineeta Sonkar, Deepak Sonkar and Shakti Kumar, who got cheques of Rs 50,000 and 20,000 respectively under PM Swanidhi scheme. The campaign will use specially designed vans to conduct ground-level activities in rural and urban areas. The program will cover 2.7 lakh gram panchayats and around 15,000 urban locations and will continue until January 25, 2024.Good news for Bhiwandi residents: 50,000 electricity consumers to get benefit under special amnesty schemeThe Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has introduced a special amnesty scheme 2023 for residents of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, whose electricity has been permanently disconnected due to unpaid bills. Under the scheme, customers can have the interest on their outstanding bills waived off by paying 110% of the principal amount. This initiative aims to provide relief to around 50,000 consumers and make it easier for them to get new electricity connections. The scheme will be in effect for one year starting from November 11, 2023. MSEDCL has also appointed nodal officers to address consumer grievances in Bhiwandi.
