Imposter awarded 10-years imprisonment for poisoning

During the investigation, the police found that Arun Kumar Tiwari alias SN Parabhakar was a member of inter-state gang which was involved in vehicle theft in various parts of the country. "Prabhakar and Maan Singh stayed at a hotel in Collectorganj Kanpur where they took meal together. 4 lakh imposed under section 379 IPC (theft), Rs. KANPUR: Additional district and sessions judge (First) Kanpur Nagar Rajat Singh Jain on Tuesday awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 4.20 lakh on the accused Arun KumarTiwari for poisoning and stealing a car.The judge observed in his order that out of the fine of Rs. After some time, Maan Singh fell unconscious.

KANPUR: Additional district and sessions judge (First) Kanpur Nagar Rajat Singh Jain on Tuesday awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 4.20 lakh on the accused Arun KumarTiwari for poisoning and stealing a car.The judge observed in his order that out of the fine of Rs. 4 lakh imposed under section 379 IPC (theft), Rs. 3.50 lakh would be given to the complainant Kuldeep Kumar if he submitted an affidavit that the insurance company had rejected his claim.According to special prosecutor Rajendra Prasad, Kuldeep Kumar, resident of Orai district lodged an FIR at Collectorganj police station in Kanpur on January 10, 2009 stating therein that he had purchased a new Scorpio vehicle on January 1, 2009.He stated that one SN Prabhakar claimed himself as junior engineer in National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Allahabad, and told him that his office required atleast 20 vehicles for inspecting the highway.The prosecution alleged that Kuldeep after agreeing to attach the car with the office asked his driver Man Singh on January 6, 2009 to meet Kuldeep at a local hotel and hand over the car."Prabhakar and Maan Singh stayed at a hotel in Collectorganj Kanpur where they took meal together. After some time, Maan Singh fell unconscious. Prabhakar took the keys and papers of the car and made away with the vehicle", the prosecution told the court.Maan Singh after regaining consciousness informed the matter to Kuldeep.The police after investigating the case arrested one Arun Kumar Tiwari, who had posed himself as SN Prabhakar. During the investigation, the police found that Arun Kumar Tiwari alias SN Parabhakar was a member of inter-state gang which was involved in vehicle theft in various parts of the country.
