KANPUR: The residents of Barra held a demonstration at a filling station on Tuesday against alleged adulteration in petrol.The agitators blamed that the fuel station situated at Barra crossing is mixing water in petrol. SHO Barra said that the agitators dispersed when they were assured of action. "When the mechanic took out petrol from the bike, it was found that water was mixed with it," he said.Many other complaints were made by the people. "We will forward the complaint to the department concerned," he added. They demanded action against the owner and staff of the station.Deepak Kumar, a resident of the area, said that he purchased petrol of Rs 300 for in motorcycle but it stopped after going for a few kilometres.
