COVID 19 DSEK to start radio classes for classes 5 8 from tomorrow

Amid the closure of schools in view of the second wave of COVID-19 the School Education Department on Tuesday said that it will start radio-classes for 5th to 8th standard in Kashmir from Wednesday. News agency KNO quoted Director of School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir informed saying the department has decided to broadcast the radio-classes from All India Radio (AIR) Srinagar from 10 am tomorrow. He said that the move is aimed at compensating the academic losses suffered by the students from the past many weeks in view of closure of schools due to COVID-19. As per the stipulated time table the radio classes will start at 10 am to 10:30 am for 8th standard 11:30 am to 12:00 Noon for 7th standard 11:30 am to 12:00 Noon for 6th and 3:30 pm to 04:00 pm for 5th standard. The DSEK said that the department will start telecasting video lectures from June 1 for the students.
