A colony sans basic amenities in Eluru

When it rains, the colony main roads and streets were resembling farm fields ready for sowing seeds. The party leaders who took part in the Padayatra requested the authorities to act swiftly and provide basic infrastructure facilities. The party city secretary, P Kishore said about 800 families in the colony had been facing drainage problem. Braving rain, the leaders and activists of the party city committee visited the colony and mingled with people to know their problems. The locality has two main roads and 20 internal roads which continue to be wet.

Three main roads and 28 streets were in bad shape because of rains. Water was stagnating on the roads. About 400 families have been residing in houses build in 60 square yards. The locality has two main roads and 20 internal roads which continue to be wet. The colony is devoid from proper roads, drains, primary school, PHC, water tank, burial ground and park. The CPM leader said that the residents of the colony had complained to them about poor power supply. There was frequent power failure because of single phase power line. The leader questioned why officials failed to provide basic facilities in the colony at the time of building. The party leaders who took part in the Padayatra requested the authorities to act swiftly and provide basic infrastructure facilities.
