Dr Murthy revealed that in outside corporate hospitals they charge Rs 7 to 8 lakh to conduct the surgery.

Details of the permission were disclosed to media persons by hospital superintendent Dr M Raghavendra Rao on Tuesday. He said that it was very important medical facility that would come in to service at KGGH. Explaining the details of the mode of the surgeries to be conducted under this programme, ENT chief of KGGH Dr GSN Murthy said that the surgeries can be conducted on children born deaf and dumb of below five years of age. There was possibility of restoring the hearing up to 99 percent. Dr Murthy revealed that in outside corporate hospitals they charge Rs 7 to 8 lakh to conduct the surgery. Dr Murthy also disclosed that the screening for these surgeries would be conducted from August 28. Those who would attend for screening tests would have to bring Aadhaar and ArogyaSri cards, Dr Murthy clarified.
