The BJP leaders hailed Dhyanchand as one of the great sports personalities ever produced in the country. Later, the BJP leaders demanded that the government use Squash Court which was constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh as the same was being kept unused for many years. They also demanded that the government appoint district sports development officer instead of continuing in-charge officers. The BJP delegation also demanded for extension of district sports authority grounds for bringing out the young talent among poor and from rural sector. The BJP leaders submitted a memorandum to in-charge DSDO.
