Police said the nun had told the bishop that the "atmosphere in the convent was not pleasant and that she was under stress". KOTTAYAM: The bishop of the Syro-Malabar diocese of Pala Joseph Kallarangatt has confirmed that the nun who has raised rape allegations against Jalandhar-based Catholic bishop Franco Mulakkal, had met him and told him about the ordeal she was facing in the convent. The police decided to record their statements after the nun told them that she had informed these church heads about her complaint. However, the bishop failed to recollect the date when the nun had approached him.
