Flood situation at Kothamangalam improves

Manikandanchal at Kuttampuzha was completely inundated and out of bounds. “Nearly 500 people are at a camp in Keerambara near the Boothathankettu barrage. Several other camps are also run at Thrikariyoor and Venduvazhy. Neriamangalam remained inaccessible on Friday,” said Anil Kumar, area secretary of the CPI(M) in Kothamangalam. They were also provided food and essential clothing. The camp was later shifted to a nearby church.
