Connectivity was restored at 42 locations and 22 landslides were cleared. The army also constructed 15 temporary bridges, defence minister of India has tweeted.The defence ministry tweeted that additional assets, personnel, materials were deployed by the armed forces in flood-affected Kerala on Sunday. Five medical teams, 2 columns with each column having approximately 50-60 personnel, 2 advanced light helicopters and 2 Chetak helicopters have been allotted to Indian Army.10 rescue teams, 10 motorised boats, 1 advanced light helicopter 1 seaking helicopter were allotted to Indian Navy. 2 Mi-17 helicopters and 1 advanced light helicopter was additionally allotted to Indian Air Force and six motorised boats, 4 non-motorised boats and 21 hired boats were additionally allotted to Indian coast guard on Sunday. ICGS Vijit has also sailed from Mumbai to Kochi. The C-17 aircraft crew is working 24 hours to ensure continued support to Kerala. 100 tons of food and medicines along with 5 tons of water was transported to Kerala on Sunday, Indian Air Force tweeted.
