Highway blockade by BJP protesters affects traffic

Around 250 BJP workers, including women, took part in the protest which blocked the highway lane towards Edappally for around 40 minutes.At Angamaly, BJP state vice-president P M Velayudhan inaugurated the blockade. Angamaly police said that traffic towards Thrissur and Aluva was affected as protesters blocked the highway at TB Junction for an hour. Cases have been registered against protesters on charges of unlawful assembly and rioting.BJP state secretary A N Radhakrishnan inaugurated the blockade at Vyttila at 11am.
