The group will also visit tourism villages — Kumbalangi and Vaikom.“The visit by the team will give a message to other countries that the tourism sector in Kerala has revived and we are ready to welcome them with full zest,” said Vijayakumar.He also added that this was an indicative that tourism sector will blossom again in the state.According to officials, as far as Kochi was concerned, Biennale will be yet another factor for tourists to spend a day more in the city.With news about the flood even catching the attention of people across the globe, the tourism sector in the state was the worst hit.According to officials, Onam season in the state was a huge loss as inflow of tourists had reduced drastically in the months following the floods.But immediate restoration works of the state government disentangled many issues of the industry, said officials.Meanwhile, cruise vessel with 560 tourists from Bahamas will reach Kochi on Friday.The team will visit major tourist destinations in Kochi.They will also visit Vaikom and have a house boat cruise in Alappuzha.
