Narendra Modi to set tone for Lok Sabha election campaign in Kerala

"The wounded believers and devotees will rally behind BJP in Kerala in the Lok Sabha election. According to him, the possibility for Modi discussing political strategies with BJP leaders during his Kollam visit is unlikely. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's visit to Kerala on Tuesday will set the tone for the BJP's campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.Modi will address party workers in Mavelikkara, Kollam and Alappuzha parliament constituencies at the public rally being organized at Kollam Ashramam ground on Tuesday. Then, he will proceed to Peeranki Maidan where he will address BJP's public rally at 5.30pm. In Palakkad, the PM's visit will coincide the first phase inauguration of IIT.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's visit to Kerala on Tuesday will set the tone for the BJP's campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.Modi will address party workers in Mavelikkara, Kollam and Alappuzha parliament constituencies at the public rally being organized at Kollam Ashramam ground on Tuesday. His Kollam visit is an additional programme that he granted BJP state unit in view of the deeper political footing and the wider acceptance the party gained by taking a pro-devotee stand in the Sabarimala issue."The PM has not cancelled his Pathanamthitta programme. There is only a change in date. The same is the case with the Palakkad programme of party national president Amit Shah ," said BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai.According to sources, Modi will also address rallies in Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram on yet to be finalised dates next Month. In Palakkad, the PM's visit will coincide the first phase inauguration of IIT."The wounded believers and devotees will rally behind BJP in Kerala in the Lok Sabha election. Whatever be the narrative the Congress and CPM would try to spread, the BJP's struggle against those who try to break Hindu tradition and values will keep majority of believers glued to the party," a senior leader said. According to him, the possibility for Modi discussing political strategies with BJP leaders during his Kollam visit is unlikely. "PM doesn't normally engage in such talks. It's for the party president Amit Shah to hold such strategic discussions with leaders here," he saidPillai said the party would be focussing intensely on Parliament constituencies where the BJP votes crossed or came closer to two lakhs in the previous polls. This include Thiruvananthapuram, Attingal, Mavelikkara, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad and Kasaragod constituencies. However, it doesn't mean that BJP and its allies would give up hopes of winning other seats, he added.PM's schedule: Modi will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4pm on Tuesday. He would then leave for Kollam at 4.10pm. He would inaugurate the bypass at a function at Ashramam maidan at 4.50pm. Then, he will proceed to Peeranki Maidan where he will address BJP's public rally at 5.30pm. At 7.15pm, he would dedicate facilities built under Swadesi darsan scheme at Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple.The PM would return to New Delhi at 7.50pm.
