Corporation dilly-dallies on licence cancellation of Paragon Towers

The town planning committee which went through the report by the engineering wing has recommended cancellation of OC and D&O licence,” said town planning committee chairperson Shiny Mathew.At the corporation council meeting held on February 28, Sulaiman had submitted a report which stated that illegal extensions to the building had been made by the owner. So, urgent measures should be taken to complete the structural stability test,” said opposition leader K J Antony.“When we visited the godown, we could find that the report prepared by the SE was just a futile exercise,” said Antony.During the inspection conducted by the town planning committee of the corporation, it has been found that there was violations regarding building rules.“It has been found that the fifth floor which was given residential status had been misused for commercial purpose and the company set up a godown there.
