KOCHI : A total of 132 polling stations in the district do not have drinking water facility while 24 stations lack toilet facilities. While 408 polling stations do not have ramp facility for the disabled, 28 stations do not have electricity connection, revealed the district administration.All the 2,251 polling stations in the district are situated in the ground floor. Of these, 632 do not have separate entry and exit points, and 96 stations lack waiting room or shaded area.As part of the green protocol , officials with anti-defacement squad have removed 18,314 wall posters and 39 graffiti in public properties across the district in the past few days. A total of 1,211 banners and flex boards and 859 flags have also been removed. A total of 141 posters have been removed from private properties. No seizure of cash, liquor, drugs and freebies have been reported from the district.A total of 2,130 cases of model code of conduct violations have been reported through the cVIGIL app, a mobile application that allows the public to bring violations to the notice of authorities. Out of this, 25 cases have been dropped after they were found to be baseless. While investigation into four cases are yet to be completed, decision on five cases are pending. The remaining 2,096 cases are found to be genuine, the district administration informed. Authorities have conducted 626 mock polls till date.
