Veteran Malayalam actor KTS Padannayil has passed away at the age of 88. KTS Padannayil, known for his comedy films and comedic roles, passed away on Thursday (July 22) morning at a hospital in Kochi. He was suffering from various age realted diseases.

Padannayil was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital in Kochi on July 19. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to the cardiac care unit, where he breathed his last at 6.40 am on 22 July. In his film career spanning almost two decades, KTS Padannayil has acted in more than 60 films. Apart from this, he has also acted in many TV shows.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Education Minister V Shivankutty condoled the death of KTS Padnayil.

KTS Padannayil started his career as a theater artist. KTS Padannayil became active in Malayalam films in the 1990s. KTS Padannayil`s first film was Bava Chetan Bava, directed by Rajasenan.

In his film career spanning almost two decades, KTS Padannayil has acted in more than 60 films. He has also impressed people with his comedy acting in many TV shows.
