Centre wants increased efficiency of NHM in Northeast

AGARTALA: The Union ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) on Thursday requested governments of northeastern states to boost functioning of National Health Mission (NHM).Addressing a two-day NHM regional review meeting and workshop meeting of NHM here, MoHFW joint secretary (policy) Mahohar Agnani said the three states of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya did not give matching share on time in the last three years, thus affecting the release of funds from the Centre and affecting NHM operations.
