Nagaland s Jacob Zhimomi Moots Swachh Bharat Incharge

KOHIMA: The monthly meeting of Dimapur District Planning & Development Board for the month of July was held at the DC's conference hall on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi who is also the Chairman of Dimapur District Planning & Development Board. Basing on the recommendation given by the committee constituted during previous board meeting, the house recommended the registration of Wondering Mind Society, Sematilla. Registration of KV Society, Toluvi village, was also approved for recommendation after deliberation. KOHIMA: The monthly meeting of Dimapur District Planning & Development Board for the month of July was held at the DCs conference hall on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi who is also the Chairman of Dimapur District Planning & Development Board. Advocating for a cleaner and healthier workplace in the district, the chairman suggested all departments to appoint one Swachh Bharat incharge, who will be responsible to maintain a clean and more hygienic workplace. He also briefed the board members about the merger of water-related works under one ministry called Jal Shakti that aims at providing clean drinking water as well as to fight water woes in the country. While commenting on the presentation given by Land Resources Department, Zhimomi suggested to carry out a media campaign on different schemes and projects so that targeted section of people are informed and benefited. Basing on the recommendation given by the committee constituted during previous board meeting, the house recommended the registration of Wondering Mind Society, Sematilla. The board also recommended the Capstone Educational Societies, Thilixu village for registration. Registration of KV Society, Toluvi village, was also approved for recommendation after deliberation. Proposal for grand-in aid in respect of S Apostolic Mission Residential School, Dimapur and upgrade of GMS Toluvi to high school level were also approved, stated a DIPR release.
