With the launch of the new college campus, the college would now be shifted from its old campus in Keyake (BSF Camp) Kohima to the new campus in Nerhe Pezha. The college, currently under Nagaland University, one day aims at being autonomous and provide degree courses in a number of subjects, stated a DIPR release. CM launches new campus KOHIMA: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched the new campus site of Mountain View Christian College at Nerhe Phezha on Tuesday. Mountain View Christian College was first established in 1991 under the chairmanship of Rev Dr Tseibou Rutsa. Plastic-free event KOHIMA: A plastic free environment programme was organized by the district administration with training on paper bag making through public sensitisation at Tening town on Tuesday. Rhosietho Nguori, Additional Deputy Commissioner, presented the various government initiatives for a plastic free environment. Meeting on Economic Census KOHIMA: An accurate economic census is litmus for future planning, said Manazir Jeelani, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, while conducting the District Level Co-ordination Committee meeting (DLCC) on the 7th Economic Census at Wokha on Tuesday. District Economic and Statistics Officer, A Chubathung Ezung in his opening remark said that the main objective of the Economic Census enumeration is to include complete count of all establishments located within the geographical boundary of the district. It provides disaggregated information on various operational and structural variables of all establishments in the district, stated a DIPR release. Anti-gutkha drive KOHIMA: In a follow-up to the Zunheboto Deputy Commissioners order which forbids the sale of gutkha products in Zunheboto from July 1, the Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ZCCI) carried out a surprise checking at different parts of the town and caught a large amount of gutkha products, which was burned in front of the public.
