Ruling NDPP Assures Governor RN Ravi of Support To Resolve Naga insurgency

KOHIMA: A delegation of Nagaland's ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has assured new State Governor RN Ravi of all assistance and cooperation towards achieving peace through an honorable and acceptable political solution to the vexed Naga insurgency problem.
Ravi, who is the Centre's chief interlocutor for peace talks with the National Socialist Council of Nagalim Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) besides other Naga rebel groups, had said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed the need to conclude the Naga peace process within three months.
“The delegation assured the Governor and the State government of all assistance and cooperation towards achieving peace through an honorable and acceptable political solution,” a statement issued by the NDPP said.
The delegation wished the Governor a successful tenure and assured him of all possible cooperation.
