PUGHOBOTO: Poshan Maah for Zunheboto district in convergence with the Medical department on the topic 'Nutrition and Hygiene' was held at Town Hall, here recently. He added that not only children but everyone should take the issue of nutrition seriously. He highlighted the various programmes on nutrition under ICDP as adopted by the Government of India and also by the Government of Nagaland to address the nutrition programme since 1975. Stress was also laid on the National Nutrition Mission, Mid-Day meal, and National Food Security. Addressing the gathering as the special guest, SDO (Civil) Tiayanger Jamir stressed on the adoption of a balanced diet and maintenance of a hygienic lifestyle for a good health. He added that not only children but everyone should take the issue of nutrition seriously. He highlighted the various programmes on nutrition under ICDP as adopted by the Government of India and also by the Government of Nagaland to address the nutrition programme since 1975. Stress was also laid on the National Nutrition Mission, Mid-Day meal, and National Food Security. He also urged the people to pay attention on the various schemes implemented by the government. The Cleanliness Village Award by Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) Pughoboto announced every year under LADP.
