Incessant rains killed two affecting many in Dimapur and Phek districts of Nagaland

GUWAHATI: Incessant rains during the past 36 hours in Nagaland have caused extensive damage in parts of the Dimapur and Phek districts of Nagaland.
Over 8,000 people have been reportedly affected as 13 villages in Dimapur district have been flooded with many houses being submerged.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio visited the affected areas of Dimapur district.
According to the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), low-lying areas of 13 villages in Dimapur district and Phek, the headquarter town of Phek district, were submerged by rainwater.
The rescue teams have rescued 131 people from three locations in Dimapur district.
