48 more patients recover from COVID-19 in Nagaland, recovery rate 92.58 per cent

Kohima, Sep 8 (PTI) Nagaland on Wednesday reported a COVID-19 recovery rate of 92.58 per cent as 48 more patients recuperated from the disease, a health official said on Wednesday. A total of 28,226 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far in the state, the official said. Nagaland on Wednesday reported 50 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally to 30,485. The new cases were reported from Dimapur (30), Kohima (6), Mokokchung and Phek four cases each, Tuensang and Wokha two cases each and Kiphire and Zunhbeoto one case each, said state Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin. The COVID-19 death toll climbed to 634 as two more patients succumbed to the disease, the officials said. Nagaland currently has 707 active COVID-19 cases. Altogether 918 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states, he said. A total of 3,37,963 samples have been tested in Nagaland thus far, Dr Kikon said. So far a total of 8,96,374 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 6,64,717 persons in Nagaland as of Tuesday, said State Immunization Officer Dr Ritu Thurr. PTI NBS RG RG
