Kolhapur: The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has identified as many as 38 services that will now be completed within a fixed time limit once the citizens file an application.The services have been identified based on the notification issued by the urban development department (UDD) of the state government in September last year.

Along with identification of the services, the civic body has fixed the time limit during which the particular application pertaining to one of the services have to be processed, the fees to be charged for availing the service, officer responsible for delivering the service and appealing authorities to appeal in case the application is not processed on time or there are any lapses.A senior KMC official, requesting anonymity, said, “Services pertaining to the Ease of Doing Business policy of the Central government have been included in the list. Also, 12 services pertaining to the property department, 14 services related to the water supply department and other services related to seeking no-objection certificates from various departments have been included in the list.”The appealing authority will be the head of the department and if the query is left unresolved the citizen can then approach the deputy commissioner.
