Based on the report, the CM will take decision regarding the matter.Patil had convened a meeting of the supporters and opponents of the proposed drinking water scheme that would supply water from Warna river to Ichalkaranji.Considering the drinking water requirements of the textile town, the state government has sanctioned the project for Ichalkaranji under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.On April 13, 2017, Fadnavis inaugurated the Rs 68.68 crore water supply facility project for Ichalkaranji under the AMRUT and Nagarotthan Abhiyan through e-bhoomipujan from his residence in Mumbai.The villagers living on the banks of the Warna river have opposed the scheme and obstructed the work.
