The well-known Shivchatra Kala Mahotsav in Kolhapur that commenced recently saw a plethora of activities. The event included powadas, mardani khel, vyakhane, shashtra pradarshan, exhibition on ancient paintings and art were some of the attractions at the festival. The event was inaugurated by Mahesh Jadhav. Day one of the festival saw vyakhan by Dr Amar Adke who spoke on Shivcharitra- a national pride and many other topics. Along with this, not only youngsters but children majorly took part in the mardani khel that enthralled the audience. Ancient display of art and crafts are also a major attraction at the mahotsav. A special program for ladies like ukhane, keshbhush, rangbhush etc. were also arranged and prizes for the same were distributed. Starting from morning to evening, everyone was seen enjoying at the mahotsav.
