To spread the message of peace and goodwill, the Muslims in Kolhapur celebrated Eid amidst merriment. Various mosques in Kolhapur were decorated with lighting and namaz were read in groups. The citizens prayed for peace and harmony across the world during this Eid. A grand gathering to read namaz was organised at The Mohamaiden Education Society premises wherein Mukti Irshad Kannure, Hafeez Akib Mhaldar, Maulana Rahamatulla Kokane led the namaz. After they read the namaz, they hugged each other by wishing Eid Mubarak. The celebration took ahead with eating Sheerkhurma and Biryani in their houses respectively. Youngsters were seen dressed up in new clothes to mark the celebration. Ramazan is the holy month for the Muslims wherein they observe fast for a complete one month that ends with celebration on the full moon day.
