SUK panel wants street play out of youth festivals

These needs to be nurtured and promoted.”The event should be arranged properly to give its due share and to reach more audience, he added.Salim Mulla, an alumnus of the SUK and now a student at the National School of Drama, New Delhi, said that nothing can replace the experience of street play. The students will resume sixth semester at DKTE.They will will participate in all co-curricular and extra-curricular like various sessions of Digital Electronics, Programming Languages, as well as German, Japanese and English Proficiency Course.

Kolhapur: The youth festival rules revision committee of Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) has suggested removal of street play from this year’s festival.The management council meeting on July 17 is likely to take a decision on the suggestion, highly placed sources from the SUK said.The committee members said that since the state and national level youth festivals do not have street play, it would not be of much use here.The sources said since street plays are performed by the members of National Service Scheme in different activities, it is not that it is being completely banished from the extra-curricular activities. The students will resume sixth semester at DKTE.They will will participate in all co-curricular and extra-curricular like various sessions of Digital Electronics, Programming Languages, as well as German, Japanese and English Proficiency Course. They will also attend Industrial Visit as a part of Training regular students at COEP, the official added.ITI final merit listto be out on TuesdayThe Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) will declare the final merit list of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) across the state on Tuesday.The DVET officials said that the provisional merit list has been declared on July 5. According to the data available, the DVET has registered 4.45 lakh students for the admission process, out of which 3.85 lakh students have submitted their applications and 3.09 lakh students have confirmed their applications across the state
