Kolhapurkars soaked in celebration as they welcomed Padmanandi Maharaj in the town recently. The grand community celebration took place amidst the echoes of dhol-tasha music, brass band music and also horses and camel palkhis. They waved flags and also sang songs during the event. The month of Chaturmass being important from the religious point of view, the community has a plenty of events like, etc. lined up in the upcoming months too. The Maharaja got a grand welcome amidst all the funfair. The girls and women of the community were dressed in white and donned pink phetas during the procession. They were the highlight of the complete procession as they came forward in playing the dhol-tasha and other musical instrument.
