Congress to launch 'sangharsha yatra'

""We will cover Sangli city, Kavate Mahankal, Vita Jath, and Palus Kadegaon in Sangli district and will enter Karad in Satara district. KOLHAPUR: The Congress party will launch a Jan Sangharsha Yatra across the state on Friday. On September 1 the yatra will enter Sangli district after addressing people at Hatkanangle, Shirol and Ichalkaranji. In Satara district we will cover Man, Dahivadi and will reach Solapur district via Malshiras and Pandharpur. Senior leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Ashok Chavan, Sushilkumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan and Manikrao Thakre, will address the rally in Kolhapur.

KOLHAPUR: The Congress party will launch a Jan Sangharsha Yatra across the state on Friday. The yatra will initially cover western Maharashtra.It will start from Kolhapur and end at Pune with party leaders holding rallies at towns and villages on the route.MLC Satej Patil said, "We will cover Pune, Kolhapur Sangli, Satara and Solapur districts during the first phase of the yatra. It will begin on August 31 after taking darshan of the goddess at Mahalaxmi temple. A rally will be organised at Kalamba in the evening. Senior leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Ashok Chavan, Sushilkumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan and Manikrao Thakre, will address the rally in Kolhapur. On September 1 the yatra will enter Sangli district after addressing people at Hatkanangle, Shirol and Ichalkaranji.""We will cover Sangli city, Kavate Mahankal, Vita Jath, and Palus Kadegaon in Sangli district and will enter Karad in Satara district. The concluding rally will be organised at Pune cantonment area," he said."During the yatra, we will meet people and focus on the failures of the BJP-led government, including their false promises they made to the people during the last election. People are unhappy over the present governments at the Centre and in the state. There are a number of issues like failure in creation of jobs and non-performance of the government that these leaders will focus during their speeches," he said.
