Kolhapurkars come together for donation

In a bid to fight this shortage, youngsters from the city came together to donate blood on Sunday. The rising cases of accidents and dengue in the city have caused a shortage of blood, or so do the youngsters from Kolhapur have observed. This camp was arranged by the Rotary and Rotaract club of Kolhapur. Around 20-25 people came forth to donate blood. Adding to this Abhishek Gandhi, Member of Rotaract Club of Kolhapur, said "Heroic isn’t a person who does brave acts, heroism lies in fulfilling the need at the appropriate moment.

In a bid to fight this shortage, youngsters from the city came together to donate blood on Sunday. This camp was arranged by the Rotary and Rotaract club of Kolhapur. Around 20-25 people came forth to donate blood. Amit Mate, President of Rotary Club of Kolhapur, "We got a call from the blood bank seeking donation, it’s really appreciable to see such an overwhelming response on a short notice of 2 days." Adding to this Abhishek Gandhi, Member of Rotaract Club of Kolhapur, said "Heroic isn’t a person who does brave acts, heroism lies in fulfilling the need at the appropriate moment. I feel proud that my blood will save someone."
