They can do so from the comfort of their homes. All they need to do is to log on to http://www.nvsp.in and apply for inclusion or correction of names or enrol as voters as per forms uploaded on the website.

The deadline for correction or inclusion of names is October end. The draft electoral roll will be published on September 1.“Voters who have enrolled in the earlier drives and those whose names have been checked and verified during the door-to-door survey are requested to check the draft roll published on the election website https://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in,’’ said deputy chief electoral officer Shirish Mohod.Currently, the state has 8.4 crore voters and additions and deletions can be made after the publication of the draft roll. The final voters’ list will be published on January 4 ahead of the elections next year. While voters can submit the forms physically at the election offices, the online facility will make it easier for them to check and apply for any changes. The election officials have also roped in political parties to help voters register their complaints.Earlier, the election office had insisted on a door-to-door survey, which involved booth level officers visiting homes and checking the names and addresses of voters on the list. However, in many areas the work is still incomplete and even as booth level officers have been asked to check and complete the list, the provision for online correction will ensure that the names of voters are corrected ahead of the election.During the last Lok Sabha polls, many voters said that they could not vote as their names were missing from the voter list. Mohod, however, refuted the allegation, saying it could not be proved.
