Nation Builder Awards by Rotary Movement were given on 11th September at Shahusmarsk Bhavan at the hands of CEO of Kolhapur Zilla Parishad Aman Mittal and senior industrialist Rampratap Zanvar.Thirteen Rotary clubs from Kolhapur have formed a Rotary Movement under which these awards were given, said this movement’s President Amit Mate. Rotary International is a NGO present in more than 200 countries. Previously, it has contributed lions share in polio eradication through world and after this next mission of Rotary is Literacy in India.For this initiative, an agreement is made between Government and Rotary to improve quality of children, teachers, infrastructure through various activities. Nation Builder Awards is one such activity where teachers who have done outstanding work are felicitated. Teachers are evaluated by children, peers as well as the principal to be considered for the award.At this event, Rotary movement president Amit Mate, secretary Rahul Kulkarni, treasurer Dhananjay Jadhav, asst. governor Prasanna Deshingkar, Harshawardhan Patil, R Y Patil, Sachin Patil, Sadanand Kothawale, Mr. Sawant, Mr.Desai, Sujata Lohia, Manoj Koleker, Nishikant Sarnaikwere present along with other Rotary members and citizens of Kolhapur.
