Kolhapur welcomes Bappa in a grand way

As the tradition goes, the city welcomed Lord Ganesha on Thursday with a great pomp and show. People from the city too thronged to see this grand welcome in areas like Laxmipuri, Mangalwar Peth, Budhwar Peth and Shahupuri. The decorations, the sound of instruments added to the enthusiasm of these people who even danced with the processions. Amidst dhol beats, processions in the city went on till late evening.The mandals in the city were cautious enough and ensured that the sound level does not exceed the set decibel levels.
