Ecofriendly immersion for Kolhapur citizens

The Zilla Parishad, at various places at the Ghat had also put up boards appealing people to save the environment and opt for eco-friendly ways of bidding good bye to Bappa. On Monday, people gathered at the artificial water tanks created in the city to save its environment. They had even put up containers to collect the flowers which were offered to the idol during these five days. Many visiting the Panchaganga Ghat, were seen refraining from immersing their idols in the river.In fact, there was even an idol donation drive, where the idols were collected to be recycled for the next year.
