Dhol-Tasha, lejhim troops and traditional games, you could see it all as the Ganapati immersion processions commenced in the city. This year, the DJ sound systems were replaced with traditional instruments which helped control the sound levels in the city. Many Mandals even had folk performances and laser shows as a part of their procession.Like every year, Tukaram Mali Talim Mandal had their Ganesha palkhi decorated with beautiful flowers. The procession for this important pandal in the city began at 9 am in the morning when dignitaries in the city came together for its Aarti. The afternoon sun did nothing to dampen the spirt of those participating in the procession as well as those who had come to view it. People had put up various stalls where cold drinks and sherbats were kept.
