Dalit leader issues ultimatum to Congress over stand on RSS

KOLHAPUR: Prakash Ambedkar, president of the Bharatiya Republican Paksh-Bahujan Mahasangh (BRP-BMS) and grandson of Dr BR Ambedkar gave, an ultimatum to the Congress to decide on their demand for making a draft promising that the RSS will be forced to work inside the constitutional framework, to join hands in the Lok Sabha elections.At a rally here on Tuesday at Shivaji Stadium Ambedkar said there will not be any compromise in their demand regarding RSS. "If you (Congress) give us the framework before our next rally, we will think of the remaining seats which are yet to be announced for the elections."Ambedkar had announced candidates for the Satara, Madha, Sangli Baramati and Pune constituencies.He further said that they have not asked Congress to give up their seats in order to make the alliance. "We want 12 seats where Congress candidates have lost three or more times or there is no candidate altogether. We asked them to tell us about the seats; however, there has been no communication from them."Ambedkar said if the Congress joined hands with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, they can get more seats than they imagined.Taking a dig at both the national parties, he said that it is going to be a 'chor versus chowkidar' election.On the Rafale deal controversy, Ambedkar said it was not about money, it was about the spare parts."Modi has done the agreement for buying 36 Rafales, but has he not done the same about spare parts.
