If the citizens come across any irregularity during the election period after the Model Code of Conduct comes into effect, they can connect to the concerned authorities through the C-Vigil app via their mobile phones and can lodge complaints in this regard from anywhere in the concerned Lok Sabha constituency,” said a senior police officer.Elaborating about the further process after the lodging of a complaint by a citizen, he said, “Once a complaint is lodged by a citizen, it will be easy for the police officials to take a note of the complaint and act as per the guidelines to take action against the violator of the Model Code of Conduct which is implemented by the Election Commission.
