Kolhapur celebrates Shiv Jayanti

The city had truly turned colourful. Posters and other art works revolving around Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj , decorated various streets in Kolhapur . The city celebrated Shiv Jayanti on a large scale on Tuesday. Replicas of various forts won by his infantry anddepicting stories on his life were seen at various places.The city also saw processions celebrating the day. All over the city, enthusiasm was at its peak and people thronged to celebrate the day.
