Over 15K banners, posters removed

Kolhapur: In the wake of the model code of conduct , the district election office has removed over 15,000 posters banners and wall paintings of political candidates or parties from the city and district areas.A model code of conduct report from the election office stated that they have covered around 1,221 messages, symbols on walls, and have removed 3,101 posters. The office has also removed 4,082 banners, and 2,676 other advertising material from the public spaces, it added. From private properties, the number of removal and cover-up comes up to around 4,344, the report said. The total number is around 11,000.
