Lawyers skip court tasks

We are agitating for the circuit bench since 1985. On Tuesday, lawyers who have completed five years of practise will be leading the agitation. Kolhapur: Lawyers from the district are staying away from court proceedings for seven days from Monday as part of their agitiation for setting up a circuit bench of the Bombay high court here.The agitation has been launched by the Kolhapur District Bar Association (KDBA).The lawyers have erected a pandal outside the court premises on Monday.“On Monday, senior lawyers occupied the stage and led the agitation. On the third day, women lawyers will participate in the agitation, while former secretaries of the KDBA will be participating in the agitation on the next day,” a senior member of KDBA said.“Our aim is that the authorities should take note of our agitation and speed up the process to set up the circuit bench.
