These 2 Maharashtra Districts May See Total Lockdown as Coronavirus Cases Continue to Plateau

A Central team of experts that visited Covid-affected Kolhapur and Sangli in Maharashtra have suggested a total lockdown in the two districts. The Central team expressed concern as to why the transmission was not stopping in the two districts despite a series of measures in place. According to a report in The Indian Express state health authorities have said they were yet to receive a report from the Central team members. The state health minister added that he would be visiting Delhi and would reiterate the state's request to Centre for the supply more Covid-19 vaccine doses. Significantly Hingoli Wardha and Bhandara districts of Maharashtra did not report any new coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.
