Kolhapur: Swabhmani Shetkari Sanghatana 's (SSS) state level executive committee will meet in Pune on Wednesday to take review of the issues related to loan waiver announced by state government and actual beneficiaries of the scheme.The committee is likely to take up the issue of removal of party member and minister for state Sadabhau Khot from the party. Party president Raju Shetty had earlier indicated that executive committee has rights to take action against party workers who work against the party and does not follow party rules.According to party sources, Shetty has called a meeting of executive committee of the party to discuss the issue related to Sadabhau Khot. "Though the meeting has been called to discuss the situation of farmers after the state government announced loan waiver, the meeting will also discuss about the strained relations between Shetty and Khot. It may take disciplinary action against Khot," said a senior SSS leader.Denying this news as rumour, Kolhapur district unit head of the party Bhagwan Kate said, "The meeting has been called to discuss the plight of farmers after the loan waiver was announced. The issue about strained relationship between Shetty and Khot is not on cards."He, however, stated that at the eleventh hour any issue may come up for discussion during the meeting. The relation between Shetty and Khot has been strained since zilla parishad elections as the latter's son was contesting the election and the former was against it.Earlier, speaking on the issue, Khot had said, "From many days I am hearing the same thing and let the executive committee take the decision about me first. I will then only comment on the issue. I know what I have done for farmers and how I have worked for their betterment."
