Kolhapur: Over 2,000 confirmed their admission to Class XI that started on Tuesday and will continue till Friday, July 21."The highest number of admissions were recorded in the science stream. As many as 1,435 students admitted in the science stream, following which 920 students in the commerce stream and 404 in the arts stream," said an official from the deputy education director office.The official appealed the parents as well as the students to confirm the admissions in order to avoid the last minute rush.With only two days remaining for the admission process to conclude, we are expecting heavy rush in the remaining two days. Over 13,000 seats are expected to filled by Friday evening, the official added."The grievances cell that started functioning from Tuesday will continue to remain in service till Friday. Most of the students come with the grievance for not being allotted the college they had given preference to or being the allotted college being too far," said another SUK official."We have received 94 complaints out of which 84 have been rejected. We have given specific instructions about filling up the admission form and for the very reason the counselling classes are also been organised. Hence, the queries regarding changing the allotted college will not be accepted," he added.
