KOLHAPUR: The district primary education department is still clueless about the number of students who have received the money in their accounts for buying school uniforms. It may be noted that to bring in transparency, the government had decided to deposit the money for purchasing school uniform directly into the beneficiaries account from this year onwards. Parents were asked to purchase the uniform by themselves and produce the receipt to the respective school principal. However, when contacted Subhash Chougule, district primary education officer, said they are unaware how many students have received the money and that he is yet to review the situation.
