KOLHAPUR: Sameer Gaikwad , the prime accused in the Govind Pansare murder case, secured permission from a local court to enter the local limits of Kolhapur district on Tuesday.The court has granted him permission stating that he can be in Kolhapur from 11am to 5pm on Tuesday.Gaikwad's lawyer, Sameer Patwardhan, said, "We made application before the court presided over by district and sessions judge L D Bille to relax the bail term for one day on Monday and court granted us permission the same day."Patwardhan said the chargesheet filed against Gaikwad in the court includes a statement by Sanjay Sadvilkar . The CBI's probe in the Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar murders is largely based on a confessional statement recorded by Sadvilkar, a former associate of Virendrasinh Tawde. Sadvilkar was approached by Tawde, and two Sanatan Sanstha members Sarang Akolkar and Vinay Pawar for procurement of firearms. Both Akolkar and Pawar are still absconding."The chargesheet filed against Gaikwad in court includes a statement by Sadvilkar as witness made before JMFC (Judicial Magistrate First Class). He said that from 1985-88, he sold and repaired country-made pistols. Gaikwad wants to file a police complaint against him to find whom he sold the pistols to," Patwardhan said.Gaikwad was released on bail on June 17, 2017 and the court has put condition on him.
